Sees Next-Gen Ownership Transfer to CEO and EVP
Redwood City, CA, July 28, 2025 – PowerSpeaking, Inc., a Silicon Valley based, global presentation- and communications-skills development company, announced that its two top leaders, Carrie Beckstrom, CEO, and David Azevedo, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, have assumed ownership of the company after PowerSpeaking, Inc.’s former President and Owner, Mary McGlynn, retired earlier this month.

Beckstrom joined the company in 2018 as Chief Learning Officer, bringing over 30 years of experience in the learning and development field, including work with large enterprise companies such as ADP. She rose to PowerSpeaking, Inc.’s CEO in 2020. She is a board member of ISA–The Association of Learning Providers (ISA-ALP).
Azevedo has been with PowerSpeaking, Inc. since 2000 and has contributed to nearly every aspect of the business, including operations, service delivery, finance, sales, and marketing. Having been integral to the company’s success over the past 25 years, Azevedo says, “I’m eager to expand our reach and impact even further.”
